F.A.Q.

Q1: What brand of level 2 charger will I receive?
A1: Customers qualifying for the complimentary home charging station will receive an AeroVironment EVSE-RS level 2 charger.

Q2: I don't live inside one of the participating DMAs.  Can I purchase a LEAF from a dealer inside a participating DMA and still receive my complimentary level 2 charger?
A2: Eligibility for a complimentary level 2 charger is determined by location of dealership, not customer address.  Those purchasing a LEAF in a participating market at a LEAF certified dealership will qualify for the program.

Q3: Who do I call to install my charger?
A3: We recommend calling a local certified electrician.  You may check with your dealer to see if they can provide you with a list of recommended installers.

Q4: When will I receive my level 2 charger?
A4: Your level 2 charger will be shipped by the supplier to the address provided on the claim form within two weeks of the dealer submitting the form and reporting the retail sale.

Q5: Is the charger covered under warranty?
A5: Yes, the level 2 charger will have a 3 year limited warranty.  Details provided with charger.

Q6: How much will charging my LEAF at home affect my monthly utility bill?
   A6: Your monthly utility bill increase will depend on your utility company and how often you charge at home.  We suggest calling your utility company to determine if they offer discounted rates or charging programs for customers with Electric Vehicles.

Q7: I don't have a garage.  Can the charger be installed outside?
 A7: The charger is certified safe for indoor/outdoor use.  We suggest checking with a certified electrician to make sure there is a suitable location on the outside of your home.

Q8: I can't install the charger at my home.  Can I have the charger installed at another location such as a relative's home or my office?
A8: Once you receive your complimentary level 2 charger the installation location is your decision.  We would advise you to discuss your desired location with a certified electrician to determine if the location is suitable.

Q9: I don't need a home charging station.  Can I have cash instead or take the charger value off the price of my LEAF?
A9: No.
